Security support

To join the cloud platform service you must be able to manage your own cyber security. This means you must have a team in place that can do this or a third party supplier. 

We can offer some support with your security. This includes helping with things like incident management and firewall and DDoS protection.

The Scottish Government’s Cyber Security Unit can also give you access to some cyber security shared services.

Some of these include:

  • security advice, guidance and assurance 

  • monitoring and alerting on systems, networks and endpoints 

  • vulnerability scanning and management support 

  • cloud native security 

  • incident response planning

All users on the platform.

You must be able to meet your security responsibilities to join the platform.

How to get security support

When you onboard, we’ll look at your security set up and talk to you about any changes you need to make before you join the platform. You'll have the opportunity to speak to the Scottish Government's Cyber Security Unit.

You can also ask for more security help or report a security incident through our service desk.

How much is security support

The price is included in your overall platform cost.
