Your responsibilities when joining the cloud platform
There are overall responsibilities you need to be able to meet to join the platform. There are also responsibilities for each of the services you'll use.
Your responsibilities
As a member of the Scottish Government’s cloud platform, you’re responsible for your own area.
You’ll need to:

own and control your services and applications that are on the platform

own the migration of your workloads and data on the platform

pay for your costs on time including usage, service and licencing costs

keep costs under control
-
follow data protection legislation
-
Follow Scottish Government and your own organisation policies and procedures needed for your services and applications on the platform

arrange and making changes to any third party licensing you need
-
review what’s in your cloud, iterating and improving it
-
keep up-to-date with changes to cloud
-
making sure your services are eco-friendly
-
let us know when staff who access subscriptions leave (Azure only)

make sure all your staff and contractors have Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
-
upskill employees
Our responsibilities
The Scottish Government’s cloud platform team are responsible for the platform. They do this with help from:

We will:

give you access to our service desk

keep you up to date about new service offerings
-
recharge your organisation
