GitHub service

We offer access to GitHub with metered billing. This means you pay for what you use on a monthly basis.

You do not have to buy licenses upfront. You control access through your Okta groups.

If you add users, you'll pay for their licence for the time they're in your Okta group. It's important you remove a user when they don't need access anymore.

As part of the service, you'll get:

  • source control from GitHub Repositories

  • continuous integration and delivery from GitHub Actions

  • security scanning from GitHub Advanced Security

  • access to Enterprise-level GitHub support

  • contract management and procurement done for you

Using the service means you’ll spend less time setting up your source control and pipelines.  We'll set up some baseline policies for you. You'll have to migrate your existing repositories yourself.

GitHub is a US hosted service.

You must read your responsibilities of using GitHub licences.
